Princeton Hip Hop Symposium

A lot of valuable points arise in this heavily-paneled discussion that are extremely relevant, especially 36 hours before the BIG election. It would be hot if Obama would be sitting in this panel. Isn’t one of his favorite artists Ludacris? I know Jay Z is. If Obama can pull this election out somehow, a lot of violence will be spared, but it could also lead to another type of violence... My hope resides that Obama will be able to address some of these issues discussed and provide the framework to create some of the solutions, at home and abroad. By the way, Congresswoman Maxine Waters comes with it! Panelists also include the infamous Cornel West and Talib Kweli.

“American mainstream is obsessed with black creative genius - be it music, walk, style, but at the same time puts a low priority on the black social misery, which is the very context out of which that creativity flows.” - West
