FOURTEEN BAR BLUES

1979 Inner City Records
Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1946. He started playing the Tenor Sax at age 12.
In the fifties Loft Jazz was a part of the "beat" scene where bongos , flutes and poetry floated beneath the smoke in tightly packed crates. Loft jazz was a Big Apple phenomenon.
In the sixties Lofts became deserted due to high taxes and labor costs. The lofts became a haven for artists of all mediums.
In the seventies the term loft jazz came to symbolize a new self awareness among musicians. These lofts provided a forum for "Unknown Musicians" to be heard. A place where Bennie became known.
Joined by Eddie Gomez on the Bass and Eddie Moore on the Drums this album is a must have. Up in the Loft Funky Jazz !!!
venta de garaje grab.
Peace
