An Indian man named Jasbir Singh says he will self-immolate outside the G20 summit this weekend to protest the 1984 Sikh Genocide.
"I come from Delhi, India. I am a victim and witness of November 1984 Sikh Genocide in which 26 members of my family were also burnt alive by the mobs led by Jagidh Tytler, then member parliament of party in power," he wrote in an email.
"On June 26, 2010, when Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India will be attending G-20 sumit in Toronto, Canada, I will put myself on fire as protest against the denial of justice to the victims of 1984 Sikh Genocide. I will sacrifice my life through self-immolation hoping that it will jolt the conscious of world community who will then pressurize India to prosecute perpetrators of 1984 Sikh Genocide."
A spokesperson for the Integrated Security Unit said it is possible that the force's intelligence gathering officers were aware of the plan.
"Our officers have been told to be vigilant so I'm sure if they saw something like that, they'd be able to react," she said.

What I find more strange is the fact that of all the big heads the protesters are using ALL the white leaders look angry, yet Obama is smiling away, I guess the world isn't ready for an angry black man no matter what your protesting against him over he happy you did…….or more likely person making the “Big Heads” is an Obama fan club member!

Not that I tend generally to give protesters this much credit, but it could be that the smiling Obama is a sly, ironic retort to his insipid campaign persona - replete with smurfy bubble-gum slogans... as cynical as that strategy was, it worked, which has done the American people no credit. The past year and a half has shown us that Obama can't kumbaya his way through a four-year stint as president. We could use a little more anger from him - God knows he has plenty to be angry about.

If it is person from the third world wanting to set himself on fire, I don't think the police will do much about it. They are more concerned with empty suitcases left unattended at the roadside, or packages that raise suspicion (as opposed to suspicious packages).
