C-Medina Diggin'
Peace
I was in Chicago about two months ago and I only got the chance to go to one spot. Fortunately the spot I went to was on "HIT". Val's Halla Records. For almost as long as there have been hipsters in Oak Park, Val's Halla Records has been providing them with tunes. Val, who has become a sort of local celebrity, has owned the place since 1972 and can still be found among the vinyl on most days. We had great converstaions with her (about Vinyl of course) and hung out in her store for about two hours. I came out with my Jazz Collection elevated about 4 levels. If you ever make it out there be sure to check out her ELVIS room that ish is Classic.(lol)
PEACE, Justice, and Equality from the land of the CHESS label.
